Bob Hayes is a veteran Director of Photography and Director whose career spans feature films, scripted television, and independent cinema.
Over the course of his career, Bob has photographed more than 50 feature films and 12 scripted television series, including Pacific Blue, the action drama widely remembered as “Baywatch on Bikes.” Known for his strong visual instincts and practical command of production, Hayes brings a filmmaker’s eye to every frame, balancing story, performance, lighting, and movement with the demands of a working set.
In addition to his work behind the camera, he has written and directed two feature films, including the sci-fi cult favorite Phoenix the Warrior, starring Persis Khambatta. His experience as both cinematographer and director gives him a rare perspective on the full filmmaking process — from shaping a visual language to supporting actors, directors, and producers in realizing the story on screen.
With decades of experience, a deep respect for collaboration, and a steady hand under pressure, Bob Hayes continues to bring creativity, leadership, and visual storytelling to every production he joins.
His Grandfather was Character Actor William Forrest, so he grew up in the film business and doesn’t know any better.
